Economic and trade relationships between Germany, the European Union and Southern  Africa

Since 1998 we lobby for fair trade agreements between the European Union and the countries in Southern Africa. Initially we concentrated on the Free-Trade Agreement between the EU and South Africa with special implications on the neighbouring states Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia and Swaziland. Today we concentrate our work on the Economic Partnership Agreements (EPA) designed by the EU to replace former trade and development agreements like Lomè and Cotonou between the EU and the 79 ACP-Countries in Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific.
